Mardi Gras Sasquatch

This morning, I discovered this dusty videotape in which I found some remarkable footage of a sasquatch in downtown Baton Rouge, hours before the 1996 Spanish Town Mardi Gras parade. As most sasquatch videos tend to be, the video is grainy and it's a little unclear as to what's going on. This much is known: the band Pinecone on Tent was setting up to play near a beer truck run by Chelsea's Cafe.

Later, a photo still captures the creature looking directly at the camera. The eyes are remarkably animated for such an elusive and reclusive beast.

This woman on the cover is seriously intent on running through whatever obstacle blocks her path, whether it be water, road or molten lava. But seriously, this book is good for everyone, from experienced Ironman triathletes to people who just dabble in a little bit of triathleticism.

Hardcore Zen: Punk Rock, Monster Movies, & the Truth about Reality

Lots of references to human excrement and punk. A beautiful exposition of the Great Heart of Wisdom Sutra. I highly recommend it.

An Introduction to Zen Buddhism

Zen is something I've always wanted to learn more about. Halfway through reading this book, I may know less than I did before. Perhaps by time I am finished with the book I will know nothing about Zen. At which point I will highly recommend it.
