Pictures of Cows
The cows have been moved to another pasture to feed on rye grass, so they aren't in my backyard anymore. So I'm waiting for the cows to come home.
Anyway, my new moral code is to think to myself "Would the cows approve of what I'm doing?" If that doesn't work, then I think "Would the baby cows approve?" That usually sets me straight.
As always, click on the picture for a better view:
This is momma cow with baby cow.
Here's another shot of momma and baby cow. I grabbed my camera because momma cow was eating the stalk of a brussel sprouts plant that I had just harvested and threw over the fence. The roots were sticking out of her mouth and baby cow was trying to eat them. It was very cute, but I missed my opportunity to catch them in action.
I thought about cropping out the cow's ear, but it has such an interesting shape.
The sun kind of ruined this shot, but she looks so cute.
This is Jethro the Bull. He's the only bull. He's gentle and sometimes I kind of wish I lived his life.
My wife's uncle owns all the cows, and he doesn't sell them or slaughter them, so some of the cows are over 20 years old. He just likes to have them around.
The ironic thing is that he works as a butcher in the Albertson's meat department.
