Green Acres Is the Place To Be

My wife and I will soon be the proud owner of a mobile home. We're going to put it on our parent's land in Prairieville, not far from their horse barn. Inlaws-R-Us is going to finance it for us. They will buy it and when we sell our current house, we'll pay them back. That way we can move our 4 dogs and 4 cats out of the house while we prep it for sale. Then we will be near the site for our new home, which we will start to build next March.

We plan to be in the trailer sometime in July. It's actually bigger, as far as square footage, than our current home. We will place it under three old oak trees with plenty of shade.

I myself will grow my hair long in the back, and short in the front. I will only wear t-shirts with the sleeves cut-off. I'll grow my beard out and try to greet company without my dentures.

I'm joking of course. Although the trailer is a transition, I'm looking forward to the move. When we build our house, it will sit on five acres of treeless pasture land. I'll get some denim bibs and totally go Green Acres. A monstrousity of a vegetable garden will ensue, totally organic with plenty of manure to play with. I'll invite friends over to play bluegrass music and record in my private studio. I'll tend to my orchids in the sunroom. My wife will have some horses to play with.

I'm also insisting that the new house have a small second story deck on the back. That way, I can look over my vast expanse of real estate, my fiefdom, and ponder how one, such as me, could have come from such humble beginnings and become so lucky.

Ya know, except for the trailer part, it does sound just about perfect. Get yourself a bee hive, too.

Lol...nothing like country livin'...

I'm sooo jealous, actually. I've been trying to find new digs myself, because I'm tired of duplex white walls...

Good luck with the organic grub :)
