A Good Day

Yesterday was a good day. First of all, I was still riding high off of one of the most enjoyable experiences in my musical career last Saturday at Chelsea's. About 300 people showed up for the show and the crowd was enthusiastic and supportive. I couldn't have imagined a finer evening.

The morning started with me sleeping in a bit. I was working late, so my work day started at 11am. A leisurely morning can be nice sometimes. I ate my favorite breakfast, a Tofu Rancheros from Amy's Kitchen.

Later I was informed that somebody put in an offer on our old house "as is". So that meant we wouldn't have to resurface the hardwood floors, and paint the entire exterior, among a bazillion other things. True, we were coming down on the price, but I figure I can either be cheap or lazy. In this case, I'll be lazy.

Later in the afternoon, I interviewed for a new position and was offered the job soon afterwards. I'll be moving from my current gig as a Youth Librarian and into a position in the Computer Division. I'll be responsible for most of the computer training for staff. My pay will be the same, but the hours are better and it's closer to my new home. Also the work involves more of the things that I studied in school. It should be obvious that I have an affinity for the tech side of things, being that I have a blog and all. I was especially happy that I was able to mention my appearance in Wired magazine during the interview.
