Fake Music Trivia

Somebody on the Baton Rouge Rocks message board wanted some ideas for fake music trivia questions in order to parody the lame trivia questions that come before movie features at theaters. He would have them play before his band comes on at their next concert at the Varsity.

Here are my ideas:

What famed guitarist's custom built left-handed electric banjo fetched $250,000 at an auction in 2002?

-Jimi Hendrix

What Bob Dylan hit features a young Alice Cooper on organ?

-"Like a Rolling Stone"

What was the name of Cher and Gregg Allman's only daughter?

-Charmaine Bono Allman.

What 70s television show theme song featured famed bebop saxophonist John Coltrane and Stevie Wonder on harmonica?

-Sanford and Son

Who is the subject of Carly Simon's hit "You're So Vain"?

-Debbie Harry

What famous calypso artist played at President George W. Bush's second inauguration ball?

-Harry Belafonte

What Janes Addiction single featured Arsenio Hall on back-up vocals?

-"Been Caught Stealing"

..or for another Arsenio Hall joke:

What television talk show was the inspiration for "Who Let the Dogs Out" by the Baha Men?

-The Arsenio Hall Show

Okay, maybe only I find them funny.

I laughed at the Harry Belafonte joke. Sort of an inward laugh maybe two breaths long.
