Nearly Almost Famous

It's been nearly a year since I started my gig as a children's librarian. Since then, I've done 70 or so storytimes with my trusty guitar, Oscar and I've learned a goodly number of children's songs while I was at it.

I decided it's time to take my show on the road. I volunteered to play some of the other library branches in the parish this coming summer. The response was so great that I had to turn away some of invitations.

I'm calling it Sing Along Songs. Smash hits include Old McDonald, Wheels on the Bus, Six Little Ducks, I've Been Working on the Railroad, Slippery Fish and many more.

Then my boss, the head of children's services for the parish, told me today that she's got a spot for me on the library's program on Metro 21, which is like the public access cable channel. I'll sing two songs to promote my Sing Along Songs tour. The show will play in May. I'll record it in April.

Look ma! Mikey is on the moving picture box!

I Can't Believe It's Not Public Access! doesn't quite sell it to me. But I hope you will be recording it.
