My 31st birthday is today.
I got a guitar case and rainbow colored strap for the acoustic guitar that I'm using for my storytimes. My wife also got me a book of Louisiana birds. You can buy me presents if you like.
It's been a high-calorie day (with an Italian theme): A big breakfast of polenta and eggs, a big lunch of tortellini, garlicky cheesy bread follwed with a 1/3 pint of ice cream, then a slice of cake from the birthday cake a co-worker bought for me. Then tonight I gorge myself at Ruffino's, my favorite Italian restaurant, thanks to my in-laws.
I have to work off the calories when I ROCK tonight with the Nuevo Hippie Cover Band at Chelsea's Cafe.
