| Music, media, libraries and my tortuous ascent into the middle class. |
I have a couple days off this week coming. So my wife and will spend it landscaping our yard. There's nothing like spending your vacation doing back breaking physical labor. I can't wait until we get the truckload of bricks.
Apparently we have caught the gardening bug. My wife likes roses (I guess it's a girl thing), and she's already ordered a few from the Internet and planted them at random locations throughout the yard. I like finding native plants that are attractive and planting them in random locations. We just planted some Louisiana Irises near our Crabapple tree.
This book has been our go to guide for the past two weeks. It has pictures and descriptions, and is really easy to use. It also gives hints for companion planting.
I'm a sucker for before and after pictures, so I'll probably post some gardening pix in the near future.

Meanwhile, I'm making a feeble attempt at blogging at http://zowaco.blogspot.com.
