Current Listening

Now that I have my own car with a CD player I bought one of those CD cases that hangs on the car's visor. I crank the music up louder whenever I roll down my window to get throught the parking gate. Here's a selection of what people on the sidewalk might hear:

The Very Best of Elvis Costello

Will I ever tire of listening to "Watching the Detectives" at a bone-rattling volume? No. And who knew Elvis Costello was such a hit machine. I even like the ballads.

Stereolab: Emperor Tomato Ketchup

This is my inroduction to Stereolab. However I did see them on the second stage at Lollapolooza some years ago.

Sun Kil Moon: Ghosts of the Great Highway

Dreamy alt-country. I really like this album, even if I don't understand it.

Los Lobos: Just Another Band from East L.A.

The new Los Lobos box set. My favorite is "Kiko and the Lavender Moon".
