5th Annual Cajun Scrabble Fest

I'm definitely going to this tournament in New Orleans. After three canceled tournaments, I'm ready.

I'm going to stay the night at the official hotel, the Holiday Inn Downtown Superdome. If anyone wants to share a room, then let me know. It's so cool that it's downtown this year!

5th Annual Cajun Scrabble Fest

Join us for our first post-Katrina Scrabble Tourney! Our location is in downtown New Orleans this year just steps from our historic French Quarter. Complimentary Shuttle Service is available to take you to downtown area attractions. Enjoy your visit to our city while helping to rebuild New Orleans!

Dates: Saturday, May 20, 11am, 2 rounds, lunch break, 5 rounds
Sunday, May 21, 9am, 3 rounds, lunch break, 2 rounds, awards

Registration is open 8:30-10:30am on Saturday. Director’s paperwork 10:30-11:00.

Pairings: Round Robin and King of the Hill

Four Divisions divided at <1600 <1300 <1100 approximately
Entry Fees $70/$60/$50/$40

Cash prizes – Minimum of 80% of entry fees.
Entries paid prior to May 1 are eligible for prize drawing (refund of entry fee).
Top finishing Louisiana player is awarded the 2005 Louisiana Cup.

You may play your first tourney without belonging to the National Scrabble Association, but if you want to gain an official rating, you must join NSA for $20/year. You can do this at www.scrabble-assoc.com
