I Should Get My Teeth Pulled More Often

| | Comments (0)

I had my wisdom teeth pulled yesterday. Despite all the discomfort, it's kind of nice for studying...since I have to lay in bed anyway, with a cold compress on my mouth. Luckily the pain drugs (Percocet) don't affect my head too much.

In one hand I have my notecards. By my other hand is my dictionary. My Palm Pilot is on the nightstand.

I've been working through these notecards like you wouldn't believe. I finished the JQXZ 6s the other day, so now I'm tackling the 5 letter Y words. I had them arranged by probability so the first 15 cards weren't very interesting because only the common letters are there (YENTA, YEANS, ONERY, TUYER). But when the less common letters start coming in, then they start to get fun.

On one card I got HYOID, MYOID, and PYOID. HYOID is the only one that takes an S, along with an -AL for HYOIDAL.

I'm less than halfway through with them, but I have a feeling that my play will improve when I'm done with them.

These Y words are also good for the -IER, IEST, and -IES words. I think it would be good to go over those after I finish these. I think my brother posted the -Y to make -IER, -IEST words a while back.
