Scrabble Bloggers Untie!
My copy of the OSPD 4th edition came in the other day. I noticed that BLOG, BLOGS, BLOGGER, BLOGGERS, BLOGGING and BLOGGINGS are in it. Hooray!
Sadly, there is no BLOGGED*. They are only recognized as nouns. I know I use it as a verb all the time, and I think most bloggers do so as well. Maybe next time.
In celebration, here's a link to a new Scrabble blog that I found via Scrabble Junction: Scrabble Soliloquies. It reminds me of my blog about a year ago. Good luck to switzy227 at Nationals and may he represent us Scrabble bloggers well. Alas, I will not be attending. There's always next year for me.
Is the title supposed to say "untie?" It must be a Scrabble player's in-joke, like, "Scrabble players don't UNITE, becuase UNTIE will open up fewer lanes."
Yeah, it's an in-joke. Scrabble players think it's funny when you use an anagram in the place of a word.
In the Scrabble tournament players' mailing list, many of them anagram their own names as their handles.
Unfortunately for me, both of my names are playable: Mike Waugh. So I stick with that.
