Bingo Puzzle
I've been on a bit of a winning streak.
Yesterday, I pulled this beautiful rack on this beautiful board: The rack is at the top of the image: ?AEILNT.
What did I play?
QuANTILE 1B for 101 points.
I crossed my fingers during my opponent's play, hoping he wouldn't take my spot. I was actually relieved when he bingoed with REALISe.
The first thing I saw was the TISANE+L words: ENTAILS, SALIENT, ELASTIN, TENAILS, SLAINTE, NAILSET, SALTINE. But I thought there might be something with the Q. I'm glad I looked.
Come to find out, I had missed playing QUINTILE 11H the round before. I know the word, but didn't see the place for it.
Here's the final board. Notice CAJONS*. I played CAJON, and my opponent hooked it with the -S. I didn't know that it doesn't take an S. Its plural is CAJONES.
I won, 404 to 352.
